Moisture measuring of FGD-Gypsum

At conventional power plants vey often the exhaust air gets cleaned by a Flue Gas Desulphurization. A remnant of this method is FGD-Gypsum that mostly is drained on Vakuum band filters. ACO sensors can determine the residual moisture on-line. Based on the immediate available results the dryer is able to compensate the process accordingly and the quality of the gypsum can be improved. The sleigh with integrated moisture sensor slides on the Vakuum band filter across the FGD-Gypsum. To optimize the measuring results a wiper blade smooths the surface of the gypsum.

Application: Measuring the water content of FGD gypsum at a flue-gas-desulpurization on a vacuum-belt-dryer.
