Moisture measuring of Lignite ash

To restore the landscape the ash of lignite (waste material of energy production) finds its way back to the huge pits that the surface mining has left. To make sure that there aren't any embers left, the ash needs to be slightly moistened. With the ACO sensor a determination of the residual moisture is available in real-time. If the results fall below the guideline the material is moistened once again. The sensor is surrounded by a robust housing which is installed directly into the material flow right after the conveyor belt.
